Many non German speaking collectors of all areas are often faced with fear and anxiety about how to have material in their collection authenticated.

The simplest way to find out who is currently authorized to authenticate material is to look in the rear pages of the Michel Spezial catalogue. There can be found a list of all current recognised expertizers for every area of German philately. Most have e-mail address's also so can easily be contacted in the first instance. Many do have an understanding of English though not all. For the Inflation area there are several experts one can choose from. My personal choice is Herr Dieter Weinbuch from München. No not because he is any better than any of the others available but simple because he can correspond in English and also is able to accept payment for his services in currency other than the Euro.
